The California Teenage Republicans (CATARs) proudly serve as the Youngest Conservative Organization in the State of California. We are dedicated to uniting and mobilizing young conservatives across the state. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community where conservative high school students can connect, collaborate, and lead.
We are passionate about transforming the way high school students perceive conservatism and the core values of the Republican Party. Through our robust network of student leaders and strategic resources, we amplify the voices of conservative youth, ensuring they resonate on campuses throughout California.

What We Do
Our members work at the state and local level to promote the policies of the Republican Party, engage fellow students to become active within the political system, and elect Republican candidates to public office.
As a member of CATARS, you can:
ORGANIZE! Plan and execute impactful events, campaigns, and activities to inspire political engagement among high school students.
ADVOCATE! Champion your viewpoints on key issues, both in your community and online, to shape public opinion and influence policy.
CONNECT! Network with fellow high school Republicans and the broader Republican Party. Build relationships with state and local campaign leaders and government officials.
Our Platform
Republicans across the country stand fiercely to defend the values of our party. But among all of these values, there are certain core principles that unite our party. Among them are the following.

Every individual is born free and possesses the inherent right to shape their own destiny. Government should remain limited, ensuring it doesn't hinder progress or personal achievement. While it must be robust enough to fulfill its essential duties, it should never become a significant barrier to the average American citizen. By keeping government small, we reduce the risk of incompetence and corruption, safeguarding the people it is meant to serve from oppression.

The concept of 'De-Regulation' is rooted in the belief that government should not impose unnecessary obstacles. Small businesses, in particular, can be stifled by burdensome regulations, hindering their ability to thrive and innovate. Imagine life-saving drugs that remain unavailable due to excessive red tape, despite their proven safety. This not only affects small businesses and innovators but also any American striving to make a positive impact. Removing these roadblocks is essential for fostering growth and opportunity.

Our commitment to lower taxes is grounded in the belief that individuals deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money. Reducing income taxes empowers people to invest in their local communities, driving economic growth and prosperity for all. Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of everything we stand for. This fundamental right is essential for progress and the continuous improvement of our nation. We are fortunate to live in a country where dissent from the mainstream narrative does not result in government retribution. However, the fight to preserve this right is ongoing, and we must remain vigilant in defending it. Tolerance of differing, even controversial opinions, is crucial to maintaining a free society. When any voice is silenced for being unpopular, it threatens the freedom of all, including our own.

We have all encountered the challenges within the public schooling system, from declining educational quality to feeling misrepresented by school boards. It's clear that we deserve the freedom to choose alternatives. No one should be bound to a system that may not meet the unique needs of every individual. Our diverse educational needs cannot be fully addressed by public school districts alone. If districts like LAUSD are not fulfilling their responsibilities, why should we remain dependent on them? We advocate for the right to seek better options tailored to each student's needs.
Bylaws
Our Organization operates by certain bylaws that governs our leadership, elections, board, and chapters, and operations. As an organization, we commit to following these bylaws and ensuring the common good of our State Federation.
